Fred Monroe Henry Jr.

Fred Monroe Henry, Jr. passed from this life Sunday, December 2, 2012, in Lubbock, Texas. He was born into this life Wednesday, September 23, 1942 to Fred Sr. and Myrtle Henry in Hereford, TX.

Fred married the love of his life Barbara Graham on May 24, 1986 in Lubbock, Texas. He was a man that cared so much for not only his family, which included his beloved animals, but also his church family. Fred spent the majority of his life as a salesman. The last ten years, he truly enjoyed selling security systems. Fred retired in 2011; he spent his days restoring a pontoon boat and loving his dogs.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mildred Pickrell and Jerri Skypala. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Barbara, of Lubbock; three sons, Fred Henry III and wife Amanda, Gary Graham and wife Tracey, and Steven Graham; three daughters, Tena Curtis and husband Dale, Karen Hobson and husband Randall, Jeanette Snider and husband Tom; 13 grandchildren; Fred Henry IV, Tyler Henry, Tonya LaBaume and husband Clayton, Kathy Smith, Ashly Newton, Greggory Graham and wife Sonia, Matthew Newton, Katrina Spears husband Daniel, Erika Jeter, Jessica Graham, Jonathan Graham, Garrett Graham, and April Williams; and 15 great grandchildren; Mykah Graham, Lyric Spears, Aurora Kizer, Randy Moyers, Christian Moyers, Julia Moyers, Avril Curtis, Landon Blair, Lillian Smith, Austin Smith, Zaccary Dawkins, Tiffany Copeland, Timothy Goshern, Gregory Goshern, and Tanner Copeland; one sister Betty McCurry of Amarillo, TX.

A memorial service, to celebrate Fred’s 70 years of life, will be held at 6:00 P.M., Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Turning Point Community Church, Lubbock, TX, with Pastor John Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodrow, TX. The family will greet friends from 5 – 7 P.M., Wednesday, December 05, 2012, at Agape Funeral Chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock, Texas.
