Candis passed from this life Friday, January 11, 2013, at her home in Seagraves, TX. She was born into this life Friday, January 20, 1950, to George V. and Elizabeth (Henson) Wortman, in Lubbock, TX. Candis graduated high school from Coronado in Lubbock; she attended Texas Tech University, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1985. Candis married Kenneth Wayne Hall December 28, 1993. She last taught school for Seagraves ISD. Her greatest love was her family; she selflessly invested in the future of her students; Candis was an inspiration, and strength, to her co-workers and friends. She brought joy to all who met her.

Services for Candis are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock, with pastor Joe Slaughter Officiating. Burial will follow, at Ropesville Cemetery, Ropesville, TX. The family of Candis Wortman-Hall will greet friends from 5-7:00 P.M., Monday at Agape Funeral Chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Agape Funeral Chapel, Lubbock.

Candis was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Seagraves; 3 sons, Robert Eric Wolfe of Lubbock, David Bryan Wolf of Lubbock, Nicholas Alan Wolfe of Lubbock; three step-sons, Stephen f. Hall of Littlefield, Monte David Hall of Knoxville TN, and Kenneth Caleb Hall of Fresno CA; three step-daughters, Carece H. Slaughter of Carrollton TX, Vicky L. Hassell of San Antonio , Reita Faith Scott of Kerrville; one brother, George Wortman of Evergreen CO; and one sister, Carolyn Wortman of Honolulu HI; and grandson Zackery E. Wolfe of Seagraves, 22 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family of Candis Hall suggests memorial contributions, in honor of Candis, be made to the Candis A. Hall memorial fund for Zackery E. Wolfe. The memorial fund has been established through New Generation Ministries International, for the care and benefit of Zackery. Please make checks payable to NGMI, P.O. Box 800438 Dallas, TX 75380.
