Thomas Lara, 51, of Hale Center, passed from this life February 2, 2013. He was born to Thomas and Mary (Vigil) Lara November 27, 1961, in Torrington, Wyoming. Thomas married Angelita Cantu February 4, 2006, in San Angelo, Texas.

Thomas worked as a laborer in construction, doing almost all phases of construction; his favorite was concrete work. He loved life and enjoyed music and dancing. From those who were close to him and from those who knew him, he will be greatly missed.

Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother-in-law, and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife, Angelita Lara; parents, Mary and Thomas Lara; five brothers, Frank, Raymond, Arthur, Pedro, and Samuel; one sister, Stella Barron; four daughters, Selina Reyes, Angelica Lara, Juanita Lara, and Monica Harrison; one son, Ramon Lara; and 14 grandchildren.
