Michael Scott Stevens

Michael S. Stevens beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend passed away into the arms, of Jesus on Sunday February 10, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. His death was due to complications following surgery.

Michael was born June 10, 1984, to Kelly Smith

Michael was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents, Adrian and Babe Evans, Known as Big Daddy and Big Momma.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his mother, Kelly Smith; Grandparents Billy Ray and Norma Smith, Uncle, Andy Smith and wife Mary Jane of Lubbock, Texas, cousin, Ryan Smith and wife Lori and children, Bryden and Kate of Meadow, Texas cousin, D'dee Smith Fowler and husband Glen and children, Tanner and Kynli, of Allen, Texas, cousin, Kassie Smith. of Lubbock, Texas, Uncle, Brad Smith and wife Donna, of New Home, Texas, cousin, Travis Smith and wife Jodi and children Celee and Carley,of New Home, Texas, cousin, Trey Smith and daughter Presley.of New Home, Texas.

Michael attended Special Education Classes at Casey Elementary, Bennet Elementary, Crestview Middle School and New Home High School. He loved going to school and participating in the activities. Michael especially enjoyed games on the computer. The ride on the school bus was so special to him. He loved to ride on all kinds of equipment, from the tractor with the terracing machine, the scraper, Motor Grader and also the Yellow Airplane, with Tommy Harmonson and Papa, as his Granddad was called.

Michael brought much joy and happy times to all of us and he will be greatly missed. He left us with a wealth of good memories to cherish, for years to come.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, February 23, 2013 at New Home Baptist Church, New Home, Texas.
