Wanda Jo (Sikes) Maroste, 74, of Lubbock, passed away February 15, 2013. She was born July 6, 1938 to Luther and Clara (Sykes) Sikes in Salinas, California.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Larry Sikes. She is survived by her husband, Terence L. Maroste of Lubbock; her children, Brenda Gale Rhoades of Phoenix AZ, Lonnie Dale Welch of Phoenix AZ, and Lisa Suzanne Fontenot of Vinton LA; 5 grandchildren, Cheryl White, Thomas Goodwin, Michael Welch, Daniel Welch, and Daniel Fontenot; and one great grandchild, Michael LaPoint.

Wanda was a very compassionate, caring, tender hearted, wonderful woman. We loved her so much. We will miss you Mom.

A graveside service, to celebrate Wanda’s 74 years of life, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at City of Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, Texas.
