Obituary
Sandra Nicholas, 75, of Carlsbad, NM passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023, with her granddaughter by her side. Sandy grew up in Tucson, AZ before moving to Carlsbad. She worked at The Connection and Western Commerce for a number of years. She enjoyed watching soap operas and cooking shows, crocheting, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her grandkids. Sandy will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Nicholas. Sandy is survived by her son, Mark Nicholas of Carlsbad, daughter, Beth Nicholas of Carlsbad, brother, Mark Williams and wife Norma Williams of Lakewood, NM, granddaughter, Alix Sterling and husband Jordan Sterling and great-granddaughter Reagan Sterling of Kiowa, OK, granddaughter, Savanna Jordan of Carlsbad, grandson, Mark-Robert Nicholas of Carlsbad, and grandson, Stetson Jordan of Carlsbad. Sandy requested a celebration of life be held in her honor. We request all of Sandy’s loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Blodgett Street Baptist Church on February 21, 2023, at 2 p.m. Flowers can be sent to Blodgett Street Baptist Church between 8am-1pm on Tuesday.
