Charlie Mize

Charlie Mize, 55, of Ropesville, went home to be with the Lord on December 4, 2019.  Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at the NORTH CAMPUS of Church On The Rock, 4501 Milwaukee Ave., Lubbock, TX. Pastor Robert Renteria will officiate.  Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Flowers should be delivered to 4501 Milwaukee.

Charles was born on August 22, 1964, to Robert “Bob” and Janice (Williams) Mize in Odessa, TX.  He spent most of his life in the West Texas area, settling in Ropesville in 1996. He was a framing contractor and opened the Quality Framing Company, which he owned and operated for 22 years.  Around 5 years ago, God brought his soulmate, DaRene “Reno” Enos into his life and they were married on December 28, 2018.

Charles was fun loving, easy going and hardworking. He was a good father and he raised two amazing sons.  Charles got his love for arrowhead hunting from his Granddad. Fishing and eating chips and salsa were among his favorite things to do, but more than anything, he loved his family.  His wife describes him as “her love, her best friend, and her gift from God.” He will be dearly missed!

Charlie is survived by his wife, DaRene Mize; his parents, Bob and Janice Mize of New Home; his 2 sons, Jeremy Mize of Levelland and Chris Mize and wife, Camden, of Midland; 3 daughters through marriage, Jennifer, Amanda and Morgan; his sister, LeAnn Gooch and husband, Dennis, of Cotton Center; 6 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, a niece and a nephew.
