Connie Johnson Obituary

Connie Joyce Houchin Johnson was born on May 1, 1938 to C.L. and Jo Houchin in Lamesa, Texas.

She married the love of her life, Robert Johnson in 1956, and had two sons, Kirk and Mark. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Johnson, son Kirk, her parents C.L. and Jo Houchin, in-laws Tom and Clara Johnson, brother Don Houchin, and her best friend/sister in law Allie North. Those left to cherish her memories are her son Mark Johnson, brothers Jerry Houchin, Sam and Truma Houchin, Terry and Lori Houchin, and her three beloved schnauzers, Zeva, Sasha and Raena. She is also survived by 8 nieces, 4 nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, friends and loved ones. 

Connie loved to travel and traveled extensively in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East while living in Afghanistan for 5 years and Nigeria for 2 years.  

Connie loved her family above all else. She was always there to listen and help anyone in need. She enjoyed creatingTeddy Bears for her loved ones and friends which are still hugged and cherished to this day. Connie was a devoted reader of mystery and romance novels and inspired many of her family to become avid readers! 

Connie struggled with numerous health issues throughout her life, but you never heard her complain. She will be truly loved and missed by all who were blessed to know her!

Viewing will be 5:00 to 7:00 at Agape Funeral Home.  
Mass for the Resurrection will be at 10:00 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
