Survived by:
Dianne Alsup Pierzchalski (Spanky), 73, of Lubbock TX, passed away on July 17,2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Dianne was born on March 10, 1949, to Van and Johnnie Alsup in Lubbock. Dianne retired in 2009 from a successful career with the IRS and looked forward to many journeys and travels with her husband Ken. Dianne married Ken in 1995 in Clovis New Mexico and were inseparable during their 27 loving years together.
Dianne was predeceased by her parents, Van and Johnnie. She is survived by her husband Ken, brother Van (Turkey), sister Johnnie (Tiny), daughters Marci and Amy, sons Tod and Tim and 8 grandchildren, Alex, Chandler and Caleb Thames, Alex Sauls, Tyler, Adina and Tanner Pierzchalski, and Ella Hill as well as many extended family members who loved her dearly.
Dianne was a caring, giving, and selfless soul who loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as her sweet dog Scooter. Dianne loved traveling, with stops at halfway points in Casinos with Ken. Her laugh and smile could light up a room. She had a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to stop and listen and help people out. She never hesitated to let people know that she loved them. Because she was a big kid at heart, her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews adored her. She was an aficionado of antiques and enjoyed crocheting relentlessly. Her grandchildren enjoy the warmth of her many Afghan blankets knowing how much love was crocheted into them.
Services will be held at Agape Funeral Chapel, 6625 W 19th St in Lubbock on Wednesday July 27th at 2pm. A brief follow on service will be held at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park, 15602 TX-493 Loop.
