Jesus Barbosa

Jesus Barbosa, 82, of Lubbock, Texas. Died Sunday, August 27, 2023, in Lubbock,
TX after a lengthy illness.

Jesus (Jesse) was born in Buckholts, Texas in 1940. He moved and made Lubbock,
Texas his permanent residence in 1959.

Jesus enjoyed fishing and camping, music and playing his guitar. He worked in the
Auto Paint/Bodywork industry for over 45 years. He was one of Jehovah’s
Witnesses for 54 years and served as an Elder for most of that time. After his
retirement he dedicated his time in the full-time ministry as a Regular Pioneer.

Jesus was predeceased by his parents, Dionicio, Sr. and, Dolores Barboza. He is
survived by his wife of 62 years, Flora Martinez Barbosa, son, Juan D. Barbosa and
wife Cheryl Barbosa, daughter, Cynthia Barbosa, daughter, Irene Berger and
husband Michael Berger, son Josue (Josh) E. Barbosa and wife, Jennifer Barbosa;
granddaughter, Keren M. Arrellano, grandson’s, Antonio L. Ortiz, Jose R. Ortiz and
great-grandson, Jayme R. Arrellano, sisters; Angela Barboza, Dolores Gallegos,
Rosario Smith, and brothers; Pablo Barboza, Dionicio Barboza, Jr and Ricardo
Barboza and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses
