Matthew “Mark” Kutscherousky passed away on Saturday, March 27 after a long battle with cancer. Mark was born October 25, 1954 to Bernice and August John Kutscherousky. Mark was raised on a farm in West, TX among twelve brothers and sisters. Mark left the farm after he graduated from West High School. He moved to Waco where he worked several jobs and attended McLennan Community College. In 1980 Mark went to work for 3M company as a sales representative. He married his wife Kathy in 1981. Mark had a big personality which helped him thrive as a sales professional. He loved interacting with family, customers and friends. You could always count on Mark to tell a good story that would leave you laughing. Mark continued his career with 3M and moved to San Marcos, TX, where he also worked on completing his BA at Southwest Texas State University and earned his diploma in 1991. After graduating he moved his family to Lakeway, Tx in late 1993. Mark became involved in the community and volunteered with the Lake Travis youth Association. His boys played a variety of sports, but baseball became there love. In 1997 Mark went to work as Governmental Sales Representative for Holt Company of Texas. He loved selling Caterpillar equipment all over the State and made many friends along the way. When he wasn’t working, you could find him at his sons' baseball games at Lake Travis. In 2019 he relocated to Lubbock to be closer to family and his grandkids. He enjoyed frequent visits from his sons and grandkids, and sometimes the occasional cook out.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents August John and Bernice Kutscherousky, in-laws Buddy and Dorthy Erwin, sisters Rita and Denise. Mark is survived by his wife Kathy, sons Jordan and wife Kendra, Jonathan and Mitchell. Brothers Thomas and wife Bernadette, Dennis and wife Jane, Adrian, Tim and Gerald and wife Vicki. Sisters Annette, Deanna and husband Michael, Mary, Caroline and husband Tim, and Karen. Grandchildren, Brielyn, Heaton and Case, and many nieces and nephews.
Mark will be laid to rest at Waco Memorial Park, in Waco, TX on April 10, 12:30 pm. In lieu of flowers a memorial can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation ( JDRF.ORG ).
