Olen Jobe

Olen was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He never met a stranger and loved telling stories. He was born & raised in Andrews, TX and became a barber; cutting hair for sixty year beginning in Seminole in the 50's and then for decades in Lubbock until he retired. Olen & his wife Cindy traveled extensively and square danced with the Lubbock Square Dance Federation for 30 years where they formed lifelong friendships

He is preceded in death by a brother Nolan Don Jobe who died at 2 years old in 1936 his father William Elmer Jobe born 7-15-1903, died at 70 on 3-2-1974; his mother Alta Helen Rogers born 7-18-1903, died at 80 on 10-19-1984 Olen is survived by his wife Cindy Jobe, of Lubbock, TX; 3 children Rhena Cooper of Coeur d’ Alene, ID, Monte Jobe of Lubbock, and Kay McCain of Carrolton, TX 6 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be on Saturday August 27th at 1pm at the Lubbock Square Dance Federation Building, 2305 120th Street, Lubbock, TX
