Wanda Jane (Barrington) McNeil, 79, passed away June 17, 2020 at her home in Lubbock, Texas.
Ms. McNeil was born on October 7, 1940 in Brownwood, Texas. She was one of ten brothers and sisters born to Claude and Jewel Barrington. She made her home in Lubbock.
As a young woman, Wanda was quite the horse woman and was respected by her brothers for her horsemanship. Wanda’s brothers and sisters played an important role her life, and she loved them dearly. Wanda married and had a child, Roycee. Wanda was an accomplished seamstress and loved children; they made her smile.
Wanda is survived by her daughter Roycee Nobles and husband Stacey. A grandson, Jacob Nobles, brother Ben Barrington, nephew Matt Barrington and wife Lisa, niece Stacey Barrington, niece Benette Little, niece Sherri Pollard. Her great nieces Katherine Barrington, Clara Barrington, and Tristyn Rinehart. Additional nephews and nieces include John Hammond, Nick Hammond, Mike Irwin, Brad Irwin, Darin Irwin, Brenda Irwin, and Claude Lee Groves.
Graveside services were held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Peaceful Garden Memorial Park in Woodrow, Texas.
